Sun and Moon

Plot Synopsis :
A man sitting alone in an “ahwa” playing chess by himself. He stares at the chessboard contemplating the black and white pieces, projecting his inner struggles onto the chess game. The black and white pieces transform into characters that look like him incarnating his polarities. His inner battle is seen abstractly through the game.

Director Bio :
Amira El Badry is born in Cairo, Egypt 1992. An independent artist and a self employed stop-motion/puppet animator. She has a small space called Tiny Clouds Studio where she makes her art. She is currently a teaching assistant at the German University in Cairo, in the Media Design department.
